I thought the video worked, actually. Visually it has to match or compliment the music, and I can't imagine anything too serious accompanying this particular sonic aesthetic.
Maybe more could have been done with it, because it does get a bit repetitive toward the end, but the overall theme, I thought, was fine.
I had exactly the same reaction to the video. What's the point? Now unfortunately, every time I listen to the song, I think of that stupid video.
