Everything You Do Is Magic Lately

Here's the new video from the Stereophonics, "Could You Be The One". I'm digging it. I do wish the chorus didn't repeat so much and that there'd be a bigger payoff for the buildup though. Let me know what you think.

We've All Become The Same

Below you'll find the new single from Stereophonics, Innocent. As we've said before, these guys are either 'on' or 'off', and unfortunately in this case, it is the latter. The song isn't bad, it's just ho-hum. Have A Nice Day or Dakota it is not. Enjoy.

Can't Remember

Stereophonics - Pull the PinSpeaking of Rock bands, the Stereophonics are finally releasing their latest album here in the states nearly one year after its original release in the UK. Pull the Pin is out on September 9 and they're touring here in the colony to celebrate:

September 2008
5th - Paradise Rock Club, Boston, MA

7th - Virgin Festival, Toronto, Canada

8th - World Café Live, Philadelphia, PA

9th - Webster Hall,New York, NY

11th - 9:30 Club, Washington DC

12th - Mr Smalls Theatre, Pittsburgh, PA

13th - Metro, Chicago, Il

16th - Henry Fonda Theatre, Los Angeles, CA

17th - Great American Music Hall, San Francisco, CA

19th - Wonder Ballroom, Portland, OR

20th - Commodore Ballroom, Vancouver, BC

21st - Showbox Market, Seattle, WA
I've found over the years that they've released some killer tunes, but I haven't been completely sold on an album's worth. Killers: Maybe Tomorrow, Dakota, A Thousand Trees, and the absolutely stellar Have a Nice Day. A new greatest hits package is being released later this year as well (likely first and maybe only in the UK) and that's probably all you need. Nonetheless, if you're going to give Pull the Pin a shot, head on over to the always reliable Newbury Comics to pre-order your autographed version.

Plus I've just realized that I'm repeating myself. Sigh - time for a three-day weekend.

It Means Nothing

The Stereophonics are releasing a new album on October 9 called Pull the Pin. It will likely have one or two killer tunes, many good tunes, and a few so-so tunes if they're going to stay consistent with past releases. Let's hope for lots of tunes as good as Have a Nice Day, Maybe Tomorrow, Dakota, and A Thousand Trees.
