I Know What It's LIke To Be Dead

There's a great free e-book available from Ray Newman called Abracadabra! which chronicles the making of The Beatles Revolver album. I found the book interesting and well-written. It does a good job of highlighting the influences around The Beatles - George's Indian music, John's & George's experimentation with LSD, Paul's avant-garde period and whatever it was Ringo was up to at the time.

I also found reference in the book to a great web site which catalogs all the various different song versions that were released.

At 100 pages it is a quick and interesting read. Check it out.
