Few films could be better described as "of its time" than The Beatles' Magical Mystery Tour. Released in 1967, it really is as non-sensical as you'd expect. No matter. The Beatles were making some of their best music at this stage. Just go along for the ride.
Out in October on Blu-ray and DVD, MMT is beautifully remastered and loaded with extras including new song edits. Curious. If you're lucky to live in a cool town, you might be able to catch it in theaters late in September! Pre-order here.
